Jonathan Riddell: Photo Retrospective: Ubuntu
KDE Project: DCOPI'm done triaging old photos, here's some of my favourite Ubuntu themed ones from 2005 to 2009. The first Ubuntu conference I went to in Sydney featuring Andreas, one of the Kubuntu originators The excitable Jeff Waugh who provided a lot of the character behind Gnome and early Ubuntu. Last seen writing a lament about the Canonical’s worsening relationship with GNOME which I must admit to being too lazy to read. A Kubuntu group photo in Barcelona from 2009, little did I know Barcelona would become a spiritual and practical home for Kubuntu. It's important to build community in open source, Kubuntu has always used hot tub parties for this, you won't get that with any other distro. Jonathan Riddell: Photo triage: KDE retrospective

KDE Project: DCOPI've also been triaging old photos to make some room on my server, so here's a Christmas present of a retrospective of old KDE photos. It all started here, my first KDE talk about Umbrello, my dissertation project. (And if anyone else is needing a dissertation to work on, I recommend a KDE project, take over Umbrello, academics love that UML stuff, it's a guaranteed A). An early Linux expo with Jono Bacon, whatever happened to him? The 2005 desktop architects meeting in Portl...

We announced today a new solution to dual boot Android and Ubuntu on the same device. Over the last few weeks I have recently blogged about a Contacts import app for Ubuntu and  Techfunder, an Android app for crowd funding projects. What I didn’t mention before is that I have been developing and testing both in the same device! I have been dog-fooding and developing a small part of our dual bo...

Jussi Schultink: Themeing KDE

So I got sick of the incredibly boring grey standard KDE theme that comes with KDE/Kubuntu. Its not actually a bad default colour theme, but it needs to be workable and appealing to pretty much all, s...
