Description:

Yeah, this is a group where I thought we could post
screenshots of our desktops. Why? well, I like looking
at other ppl's desktops and configurations, they give me
Ideas I can't possibly have with my current IQ.

So please! if you have a very nice desktop, don't be shy,
put it up here!

please use bbcode when u post, makes it easier for
other users to view ur screenshot, just put "[url]" in
front of the link and "[/url]" after... then it will look
like this http://www.link.to.ur.amazing.screenshot.html
Thank u for ur consideration!

services one can use to upload pics and then share the link:

 BumpTop and iJuk

Score 50%

Liking the Ubuntu Tunnel - its original! I like the idea of a 3D Desktop. The best one I ever saw was a windows project called "BumpTop". They're project got bought by Google in 2010 for 20M. You can still download the demo on torrent sites. Heres a link to youtube to see it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0ODskdEPnQ

Here's a screenshot of what I'm working on. Its a jukebox called "iJuk". But, kinda stuck as to how I'm going to warp a List or Table to become a polygon shape in order to fit inside the shell! If anyone knows how to do this in Java pls give me some tips...

What a coincidence, I just switched to gray, myself! Those are sweet looking panels; I must say you've nailed that 3d look perfectly! Makes me want to press them on the screen heh just to see what would happen :-)

thanks go to WarrenLouw for UnderworldEmpire-Sin (the dropdown bg)
and garv23 for tempting (the girl in bg)

The actual wall for Black Chrome http://exchange.enlightenment.org/theme/show/354 features bouncing ball bearings! I had to change the walls on Desktops 1 and 2; 3 is when I have to be away...

Only in it for the eye-candy. What's *your* excuse?

 KDE vs Whinge 8

by marcaemus on: Oct 24 2012

To commemorate the release of that other OS and all the complaining that's going with it, I'm spamming a KDE shot with a dreaded screenful of icons.

To counter this "dreaded screenful of icons", I'll spam my scrot.

 The Monthly Prod

The monthly prod to see if anyone's still awake. This time, pointless things to do in terminals.

Yep, still awake. Now I am a big fan of urxvt as well. But here's a clip of terminology, which comes with e17, and how it can use animated gifs or even mp4 as a background: http://forums.bodhilinux.com/index.php?/topic/7075-amateur-video-hour/

Think of it as a bunch of screenshots :-)
