Description:
Gmediafinder is a software to search stream an/or download files form youtube /dailymotion/vimeo...and others engines without flash...
it support fullscreen mode (double click on the video or f key/esc), visualisations and use the gstreamer engine to play sounds and videos
for youtube you can select you prefered resolution and it give priority to webm(vorbis/vp8) and mp4 format for video seeking! (and lower cpu usage than flv...)
this software is available on ubuntu thru a ppa, mandriva/fedora/archlinux and windows (tested on xp) too
PPA:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:s-lagui/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gmediafinder
Windows:
1/ install:
http://penguincape.org/downloads/smo/gmediafinder/vcredist_x86.exe
or _x64 for 64bits sytems, and reboot (for xp)
2/ install the software:
http://penguincape.org/downloads/smo/gmediafinder/gmediafinder_setup.exe
