Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/ces/.screenlets/FreemeteoWeather/FreemeteoWeatherScreenlet.py", line 13, in <module>
import time, datetime, pytz
ImportError: No module named pytz

What is pytz?

pytz = Python time zone library
Anyway you need to install the pytz python module. In ubuntu you should install python-tz and it's dependancies.
sudo apt-get install python-tz
or just use synaptic

If you mean an icon in the system tray there isn't supposed to be one... By trayicon in the properties it shows a little plus/minus sign just a little to the right of the current weather conditions (next to the word "now"). It is used to indicate the screenlet's state. Long or Small. Try double click on the screenlet to see what I mean.

Okay thanx for the reply. Figured it out now. Took a long time to find my ZIP code on Freemeteo but now I got local weather even down to my part of town. None of the other services provide THAT local weather(not even Danish Meteo).
Tip for others: Find your town on Freemeteo your ZIP code is the long number in the address bar

Ok I've added a screenshot about the ZIP code and freemeteo.com. (Use F5 to update if it shows the previous screenshots...)

Thank you for making this screenlet work with www.freemeteo.com for updates. I've been looking for years for screenlet like thisone. Using www.freemeteo.com for updates makes it unique and one of a kind. All other screenlets are using www.weather.com and many small cities and towns are not listed there.

One again thank you and all the best.

advice (even if the project is excellent):
implement a function of the visual vertical Screenlet:
could improve their integration into the desktop

My friend making a vertical version would mean create a whole new screenlet regarding the drawing code.
I didn't wrote the drawing code of this screenlet (just altered it a little to show minimum temperatures and week days in many languages).
It needs too much work for me to be done so maybe someone else could take on such a task! Someone good with drawing and cairo code perhaps?

A TIP: If you use the mini version (just for city name - time and current weather icon / temperature it fits in a vertical stack of screenlets!
