Description:

Transtitulator, translate audio, videos, and automatically write an susbtitles text file, .srt, do this with google speech recognition, and google-translate

Usage: Transtitulator [path-to-video] [language-from] [language-to],
Or browse to your video, and select the lenguages

Transtitulator-gtk have a zenity progress bar. Caution this script depends of been with Transtitulator , in the same folder, if you rename the script, must modify the command line.

In [language-from], its also available "auto" case you dont know the language of the audio. The languages available are 67.

Press (Ctrl+Z), to pause the process, or press (Ctrl+C) to cancel.
When is paused you can resume the translations, from where stay

You can process multiple files simultaneously

You can change the language interface by execute: /install-translation.sh

To use in nautilus-scripts. Replace VIDEO="$1", by : VIDEO="$NAUTILUS_SCRIPT_SELECTED_FILE_PATHS", and replace $VIDEO by $@, in Transtitulator-gtk. And copy to $HOME/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts , or $HOME/.local/share/nautilus/scripts

Watch on GitHub:
https://github.com/baitsart/transtitulator
Or, to download paste this command:
git clone https://github.com/baitsart/transtitulator.git

Install dependencies:
sudo apt-get install ffmpeg curl mplayer gawk zenity

Possible fails: 1, The function when process the audio, it's cut in 8 seconds fragments, and this probably cut some words. 2, Is better to google voice recongition, use clean audio, without music, or other voices, and how ever, can give errors on the convertion, also google translate, but is real that google have got fast evolu in the sources.

I'm sure it's can be made better, but is a start, I hope be help in something.
Enjoy, greetings!

Hi alanjeremy, thanks for your comment, I appreciate it. I tell you that I see no need long term maintenance, and indeed appears to be ready to use. But still I really appreciate your interest. Comment if you have any concerns. Greetings!

 DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY!

I got Testitulator to make and download an English-language subtitle script for a French movie I have.
I opened it with a text editor. Most of the time nothing showed up. The few times something was written, it was incomprehensible gibberish!I then downloaded the script onto the movie with SMPlayer,
the translation looked the kind of garbage that you get with Youtube captions: absolute non-sense!
What should be done??????

Hello friend, if I tell you that for best results, all you could do is isolate the audio of the voices, I have seen that there is some resource that provides Audacity, to do that, there are tutorials on google. But it would be an arduous task. For now, it can be used for video audio very clear vocals. At the moment there will be no better than the method of YouTube Close Caption. For video conferences, has helped me. Try such videos.

Thanks for your participation friend. Greetings!
