Description:

A GTK+ frontend for espeak

Gespeaker allow to listen a speech synthesized text with many different voice settings like pitch, amplitude, delay or language.

It allows playing and recording the spoken text.

If mbrola packages are available the mbrola voices will be used resulting in a completely new voice experience.

Debian users can install mbrola binary and language from the Debian repository.
Ubuntu users please use my Ubuntu Trucchi repository.

Changelog:

* This version introduces support for mbrola voices for a more realistic experience
* New Spanish translation
* Minor GUI reorganization to split settings in base and advanced

if you added property the repository then all packages will be available to apt-get.

simply refresh the list with
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gespeaker

if you use Synaptic the look for repository in the source group on the bottom of the window.
